The Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) is set to host a special evening to honour the exceptional achievements of its cadet sailors at the recent Cadet Nationals and World Championships in Plymouth, UK.

Our young sailors showcased their talent on the global stage, bringing home incredible results that have filled our club with pride. Josh Garner and Jack Benyan led the charge, clinching 1st place and solidifying their place among the world’s best. Cate McCoy and Will Garner also delivered a stellar performance, securing a spot in the top 10, while Will Farnell and Louis Davis sailed their way to a commendable 15th place.

To mark this incredible achievement, the club is organising a Victory Party on Friday, September 6th, in the club rooms. The evening will begin with formalities at 6:30 PM, followed by a lively celebration from 7:30 PM, featuring live music from Luke Biscan.

The café will be open throughout the evening, offering a delicious selection of small bites, big eats, and main meal specials all priced at $18 and under. A complimentary dessert bar will also be available.

This event is an opportunity for the RGYC community to come together and celebrate the hard-earned success of our cadets, recognising their dedication and the bright future ahead.
