What a night it was! The clubhouse buzzed with energy as 230 enthusiastic supporters filled 22 tables, coming together for a memorable evening of fun, trivia, and fundraising auctions. It was a true testament to the unwavering support of our community for our junior sailors at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.

The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the introduction of the team heading overseas, graciously presented to the crowd by our dedicated coaches, Tony Bull and Ben Garner.

Adding to the excitement were special guests Frant & Addy Bucek, RGYC’s only two cadet world champion teams from 50 years ago, and Tom & Sophie Alexander, champions from a decade ago. Their presence served as a reminder of the rich history and bright future of junior sailing at our club.

PJ from Anything Goes Entertainment led the charge as our trivia host, delivering a high-energy quiz that kept everyone on their toes. Meanwhile, our hardworking bar staff ensured no glass remained empty, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the evening.

As we eagerly await the final tally, one thing is clear: the night was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors, and the enthusiasm of our attendees. Stay tuned for updates on the total amount raised, and let’s continue to rally behind our junior sailors as they navigate the waters of success.
