Kindred & Reciprocal Clubs

Your RGYC membership extends beyond Geelong, with access to a network of kindred and reciprocal clubs across Australia and internationally. Whether you’re cruising locally or travelling further afield, these partnerships allow you to enjoy visiting rights and exclusive benefits at like-minded clubs.

Kindred Clubs

RGYC Gold Members are welcome to visit our Kindred Clubs and enjoy complimentary short stays as outlined below. When booking or arriving, please mention that you are visiting from RGYC.

  • Hobson’s Bay Yacht Club (HBYC) – 1 night
  • Mornington Yacht Club – 1 night
  • Royal Brighton Yacht Club (RBYC) – 1 night
  • Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS), St Kilda – 1 night
  • Royal Yacht Club of Victoria (RYCV), Williamstown – 1 night
  • Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) – 2 nights
  • Royal Victorian Motor Yacht Club (RVMYC), Williamstown – 2 nights

Members intending to visit a kindred club are encouraged to contact the RGYC office prior to travelling. Our team can assist with bookings, provide letters of introduction where required, and help ensure you make the most of your visit.

Reciprocal Clubs

RGYC also has reciprocal arrangements with a number of interstate and international clubs, providing access to clubhouse facilities and, in most cases, similar membership privileges during your visit.

  • Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club
  • Aberdeen Boat Club, Hong Kong
  • Royal Perth Yacht Club
  • Southport Yacht Club

If you are planning to visit a reciprocal club, the RGYC office can provide a letter of introduction to support your access.

Visiting from a Kindred Club

We’re delighted to welcome members of our Kindred Clubs to experience RGYC and enjoy time on the Geelong waterfront. Whether you’re stopping by on your travels or planning a short stay, we look forward to having you as part of the Club.

Visiting members can enjoy:

  • 1 night complimentary berth for members of all kindred clubs
  • 2 nights complimentary berth for members of Sandringham Yacht Club and Royal Victorian Motor Yacht Club only
  • Access to Club facilities and member areas
  • Opportunities to get out on the water via SailPass (available for purchase)

All kindred club guests are required to book their stay in advance so our team can prepare for your arrival and assist with any details.
