Royal Geelong Yacht Club’s Crew Finder program is aimed at matching yacht owners with crew members interested in participating in racing. This free service is designed to match members and non-members wishing to crew on a regular or a casual basis for RGYC keelboat sailing.

We invite all sailors, wether you’re new to sailing or have previous experience, to complete the following form and RGYC staff will endeavour to match you with a boat.

Winter Series – June to August
The Davidsons Winter Series is a 7 race series from June to August. Racing begins at 12:55 on Saturday, 4th June 2022 and is held fortnightly until the 27th August. If you are attending a winter series race, we suggest you pack warm, as even on sunny days the wind chill can be quite cold. Be sure to bring a hat, jacket, long pants, non-marking shoes and a beanie. As always, bring plenty of water and ensure you use adequate sun protection.
Twilight Series – October to March
The Ports Victoria Twilight Series, held weekly from October to March each year, is a great opportunity to meet skippers and crew, experience some friendly rivalry and most importantly, have an enjoyable evening on the water.
SailPass – Free Sailing Opportunities for Non-Members
A SailPass is a way for people who aren’t already a Member of a sailing club to be eligible to sail in RGYC races. This free pass offers a flexible, accessible and affordable introduction to sailing for people new to the sport and, importantly for SailPass holders and boat-owners alike, provides personal injury insurance cover through Australian Sailing.
A Sail Pass can be used for any RGYC club racing, including Twilight, Saturday and Winter racing. After your 12th use of your Sail Pass, you will need to become an RGYC Member to continue sailing.
And best of all, a Sail Pass at RGYC is completely free. Sail Passes are available via the Memberpoint App or direct from the Club’s Reception on race day.
How to access your Sail Pass
- Download the Member Point app to your mobile device
- Choose Royal Geelong Yacht Club and complete the sign up process
- Purchase your Sail Pass, and head to the club to go sailing!
