RGYC welcomes back Geelong Youth Engagement

On Friday, the Royal Geelong Yacht Club welcomed Geelong Youth Engagement back to the club for another day on the water, as part of Geelong Youth Engagement’s Spring Back Geelong program.

About Geelong Youth Engagement

Geelong Youth Engagement’s vision is to enhance outcomes for “at risk” youth through their multiple programs for young people between 15-18 based in the Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine, Colac, and Golden Plains regions.

Geelong Youth Engagement’s focus is on:

· Encouraging engagement with education, employment, and family

· Increase Youth Confidence

· Build Resilience

· Create Engagement

· Increase Self-Belief

Spring Back Geelong is a resilience-based program for Year 10 students that will take young people out of the school setting for two days a week for a term where they will undertake challenges and activities around Geelong such as surfing, sailing, involved with Tafe Testers, visiting the Geelong Courts, Police station and different businesses.
