Conall Green “Takes Flight” at The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour in Italy.

My best advice would be to keep enjoying yourself and see where this sport can take you!

Conall Green

The Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour is a series of regattas around Italy in July stopping in nine different locations. Starting in Genoa the tour then moved to La Maddalena, Naples, Vibo Valentina, Taranto, Vieste, San Benedetto, Portoroz (Slovenia) concluding in beautiful Venice.

The tour consisted of ten teams, each with four athletes from three different divisions. Conall represented the “Acone Associati”. The teams consisted of two inshore divisions, the Waszp, which Conall sailed and the wing foil. They also had one double-handed offshore division, on a Figaro 3. The offshore sailors would sail between each stop around Italy for up to three days at a time.

The “Acone Associati” team was very dominate winning numerous events, and taking out first overall along with individual firsts in all three divisions.

“This past month has been incredible getting to meet and sail against an awesome group of Waszp sailors from around the world! While there wasn’t as much wind as we’d hoped, we made the most of it and saw many cool places around Italy and learnt a lot along the way” Conall says of his time in Italy on the Nastro Rosa tour “The highlights of the trip would have to be La Maddalena in Sardinia along with Portoroz in Slovenia, both delivering some amazing conditions in very pretty places!”
