Outstanding Contributions by Local Volunteers

The Geelong and Bellarine Visitor Information Services is a passionate cohort of local volunteers who service a significant portion of visitors to the Greater Geelong & Bellarine region. This year celebrates 30 years of dedicated volunteering.

The team is a much-celebrated group of 63 volunteers who have dedicated a significant portion of their time to help drive the local visitor economy and visitor experience as a part of the regional tourism organisation Tourism Greater Geelong & The Bellarine.  Five volunteers have reached the 30-year milestone, having shaped the service from its very foundation to what it is today.

Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine is the regional tourism organisation spanning from Werribee to Barqon heads! The organisation plays a pivotal role in driving awareness about the incredible offerings, of local businesses of the Greater Geelong and Bellarine Regions!

Royal Geelong Yacht Club is proud to play a key role in increasing the awareness and attraction of the Greater Geelong and Bellarine region through its marquee event, Festival of Sails.

Geelong’s largest major event is channeling the “Spirit of Summer” in 2024 to attract people to visit Geelong and the Bellarine across the January long weekend! Encouraging everyone from locals to international visitors to the Geelong Waterfront to enjoy world-class sailing FREE entertainment, local food and beverage vendors, creative makers at the events market stalls and so much more!!!
