Last Sunday four of our Club’s RS21 boats took to the water for a Women On Water Teams Event. Participants delved into a day filled with learning and friendly competition!

The morning kicked off with introductions and practice sessions, providing many with their first experience on the RS21 boats. Despite some initial nerves, teams eagerly lined up for three hotly contested races.

As the day ended everyone reminisced on their accomplishment while sipping on glasses of bubbly and swapping stories of their adventures on the water.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our volunteers and staff. A shoutout goes to Mike Landers, Frank McMahan, Phil Heath, Daryl Spackman, and Molly Grimes for their invaluable contributions. Thank you also to Tom Smeaton, whose masterful photography skills captured every moment of the event.

Excitement is already brewing for our next Women On Water Team’s Event scheduled for Sunday, April 7th. Stay tuned for more details, but if you’re eager to join in on the fun, don’t hesitate to contact the Royal Geelong Yacht Club Office on 03 5229 3705 or vi email at [email protected].

Trust us; you won’t want to miss out on this unforgettable experience!

The Club offers a range of Keelboat Learn to Sail Courses aboard the RS21 boats.
