The Royal Geelong Yacht Club offers an extensive, year-round boating program. From Learn to Sail courses, off the beach, keelboat and powerboat activities, RGYC caters to a wide variety of participants.
Keelboat Racing
Club racing is held on Saturday’s from October to April, with a variety of racing series, passage races, twilight & winter series, and major regattas throughout the year.
Off The Beach
RGYC’s off the beach sailing program features everything from our Tackers learn to sail programs, International Cadet training and racing through to Olympic class sailing. Racing is held on Saturday’s from October to April, with a winter series from June to August.
Sailing Academy
Our Australian Sailing Discover Sailing centre is your go-to place for learning to sail for all ages. Starting with kids as young as 6 in our Tackers programs, through to adult learn to sail and keelboat programs.
Racing Regattas
RGYC is home of the Festival of Sails, biennial Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong, as well as playing host to state, national and international regatta.
St Ayles Skiffs
RGYC’s St Ayles Skiff rowing is a community focused activity. St Ayles Skiffs are also a large part of the Wooden Boat Festival and Row-the-Rip.
