The Royal Geelong Yacht Club recently hosted a night to remember, celebrating the achievements of the 2023/2024 Off The Beach Sailing season. The Off The Beach Presentation Night was an 80s-themed extravaganza recognizing our sailors’ hard work and dedication. This unforgettable evening was not only a trip down memory lane but also a heartfelt celebration of the community and the sport we all love.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric with excitement and nostalgia. The Yot Café provided a delectable array of food, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and ready to enjoy the festivities.

Peter Stephens, our charismatic emcee for the night, kicked off the event with his signature humor setting the tone for an evening of celebration. His engaging presence kept the energy high as he guided us through the evening’s events.

The highlight of the night was, of course, the presentation of awards recognizing the outstanding achievements of our sailors. The 2023/2024 Off The Beach Sailing season was a remarkable one, filled with fierce competition, personal triumphs, and unforgettable moments on the water.

A slideshow of photos from the season brought back memories of thrilling races, challenging conditions, and the undeniable spirit of sportsmanship that defines our club.

A special thank you goes to Brendan Garner, Nova Caddy, and Eloise Gannon, whose tireless efforts made the night such a success. Their contributions behind the scenes ensured that everything ran smoothly, for the seamless presentation of awards

The Off The Beach Presentation Night was more than just an awards ceremony; it was a celebration of our community, our shared love for sailing, and the bonds that bring us together. Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and made the night possible. Here’s to another fantastic season in 2024/2025.
