Geelong was the epicentre of world sailing during the 19/20 Summer, with Royal Geelong Yacht Club hosting an unparalleled program of events – from the International Cadet Australian Championship, the iconic MacGlide Festival of Sails, 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 Oceania and then World Championships, the Wooden Boat Festival of Geelong and the Laser Masters Oceania Championship. Unfortunately due to the unprecedented times and COVID-19 restrictions, the decision was made, in line with Government guidance, to cancel the Laser Master World Championships.
This season was the biggest Summer in the Club’s history. Join us in reflecting the success of our major events. Full event summaries with event photos will be available shortly.
