RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE 2023 SEASON

RULE 1.

Anyone is welcome to enter.
ENTERIES MUST BE PAID IN FULL, BY THE 3rd ROUND (AT THE LATEST).
ENTRY IS $30:00 FOR THE YEAR which includes an entry into the finals tipping.

RULE 2.

One person, one tip.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FILLING IN YOUR OWN TIPS EACH WEEK.
Your tipping card will be available from the bar, fill in tips, then post in the “BIG BLUE” footy box.

RULE 3.

All tips must be in by 6:30PM Fridays.
DEFINITELY NO TIPS will be accepted after this time.
If unforeseen circumstances prevail, tips may be emailed to [email protected].
If tips are not received the tipper shall for that week receive: – “Lowest Tippers Score minus One”.

RULE 4.

“Thursday” night games.
Thursday/Wednesday night games are no longer required to be tipped.
All tippers will receive a win for Thursday/Wednesday games.

RULE 5.

All entries must be in ink.

RULE 6.

In the event of a drawn game in any one round, this will be classed as a loss. No points awarded.
However, if any tipper explicitly picks a draw, then if this selected match is drawn.
Then 9 (nine) points will be awarded. A limit of ‘2’ draws selected per round will apply.
‘DRAW’ must be noted clearly on card correctly against a specific match where the tipper
is explicitly selecting a drawn game for that particular match.

RULE 7.

WEEKLY WINNERS.
Those that pick the most points in the round will win the
Weekly prize, (approx 40% of weekly money) , shared equally between all weekly winners.
Money to be aggregated until the end of the season

RULE 8.

ALL OTHER MONIES (60%). To be jackpotted into year-end prize.
1st PRIZE 35%
2nd PRIZE 15%
3rd PRIZE 10%
WOODEN SPOON Refunded entry fee for finals tipping. [$4]

RULE 9.

In the event of ties after the last home and away games, the prizes will be added together
and then shared equally.

RULE 10.

You are automatically entered into the Finals Tipping when you enter the main yearly competition.
Please refer to separate rules for finals. There is NO additional cost for finals tipping.
Your entry comprises, $1 per round [$24] + $3 Finals + $3 donation to RGYC cadet fleet. Total $30

All Presentations will be made at R.G.Y.C. Grand Final eve.
Your tipping card will be kept in the “BIG BLUE” box on the bar, and locked away after submission.

The decision to participate in the RGYC footy tipping competition implies adherence to these rules.
No correspondence will be entered into.
