RGYC is thrilled to welcome a new partnership with GeelongPort who have come on board as our major community sponsor of the ‘Out There Sailing’ program for disadvantaged, at-risk youth in the Geelong Region.
This new three year partnership will support a range of community programs specifically aimed at creating experiences and opportunities for our local youth, many of whom face significant social, economic and domestic barriers to accessing training and education. These programs endeavor to provide much needed opportunities for youth to reengage with education, training and the community through the sport of sailing, with a focus on teamwork, camaraderie and participation!
In conjunction with Geelong Youth Engagement, Northern Futures, Northern Bay College and Waduwurrung Traditional Owners, Royal Geelong Yacht Club is excited to create new programs with this support from GeelongPort.
