Last year, RGYC secured a grant from the Victorian Government’s Change Our Game initiative to increase the number of women and girls participating in active recreation.
This year, the RGYC is proud to announce the inaugural launch of a Geelong Women on Water Long Weekend. Aligned with International Women’s day on Wednesday 8 March 2023, this long weekend is a celebration of girls and women participating in sailing and other water activities.
We are privileged to have many experienced and talented female sailors already within our club and are excited to watch this pool grow with initiatives such RGYC’s Sassy Sailing Sister program, RGYC’s Women on Water Committee and SheSails programs.
The RGYC Geelong Women on Water Long Weekend is open to everyone within the community, and we encourage all members to get on board, show support and participate in the weekend regatta and festivities.
