RGYC is excited to once again be offering kids and youth learn to sail programs!

These programs aim to introduce kids and youth to the sport of sailing in a fun, relaxed and social environment and open the door for a lifetime of involvement in the Sailing community!

The excitement for the upcoming 2024 Fireball Worlds, hosted at the prestigious Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) in February 2024, is steadily growing. As the event draws near, organisers have released some key updates for participants and enthusiasts to take note of:

On Sunday RGYC officially launched the Sailing Development Program (SDP) to a crowd of enthusiastic members, VIP’s and sailors! Attendees were given the opportunity for a sail on the new RS21

On Friday September 15th RGYC was honored to welcome it’s 50 year Members to celebrate their long association and thank them for their loyalty and contribution to the club!

RGYC is thrilled to welcome a new partnership with GeelongPort who have come on board as our major community sponsor of the ‘Out There Sailing’ program for disadvantaged, at-risk youth in the Geelong Region.

Fireball and Cadet Sailors were treated to a training weekend at RGYC over September 16th and 17th

The 2023 Allianz Sailing World Championships saw Para Sailing integrated into the event for the first time with four events across three classes. RGYC’s Alison Weatherly won Australia’s first medal at the event, winning Bronze in the Women’s Hansa 303.
